Institutional Projects
Our institutional engineering services focus on bringing clarity and precision to complex site development projects. We collaborate with stakeholders to execute comprehensive site feasibility studies, grading and drainage plans, and utility coordination, ensuring facility expansions and new builds align with structural requirements and regulatory standards.

St. Ambrose Parish
Location: Annandale, VA
Project Type: Institutional
Parcel Area: 13.68 Acres
Description: This comprehensive master-planned campus
development successfully integrates a new church facility,
preschool center, playground, and multi-use activity center
supported by expanded parking infrastructure and structural
accommodations for future school and gymnasium
expansions. The project scope encompassed navigating
complex municipal zoning entitlements, producing detailed
site development plans, and providing rigorous construction
administrative services through project delivery. By balancing
high-density community use with sensitive site engineering
and environmental stewardship, the design achieved
distinction as the winning project in the large commercial
category for the Fairfax County Conservation Award.
Imam E Asr Mosque
Location: Fairfax, VA
Project Type: Institutional
Parcel Area: 6.65 Acres
Description: Serving as the owner’s agent and civil engineer, I
represented the client through the complex special permit
entitlement process before the Board of Zoning Appeals
(BZA). Navigating significant neighborhood opposition, I
successfully presented the project at a public hearing to
secure unanimous special permit approval on the first
attempt. To fulfill stringent site requirements, I brokered the
land assemblage for a crucial third parcel, ensuring
compliance with the required 50% open space mandate and
facilitating a vital increase in sanitary sewer capacity for the
mosque. The comprehensive site plan engineering
encompassed a 24,000-square-foot religious facility, two
separate activity buildings, an optimized surface parking lot,
underground stormwater detention infrastructure, and
extensive public road frontage improvements.
